Privacy Policy

Jackson Film Club ("we") operates jxnfilm.club and the signup form at join.jxnfilm.club. This policy explains what personal data we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

• Email address — used only to send one-time login codes so you can edit your member entry.
• Letterboxd username — displayed publicly on the members directory and used to fetch your public Letterboxd data (last-four-watched, diary entries tagged jxnfilmclub).
• Display name and optional profile fields — whatever you choose to put on your member card.

Where it's stored

Your email address is stored privately in Cloudflare Workers KV and is never published in the public members list or committed to the public GitHub repository. Your Letterboxd username and anything you put on your member card is stored in the repository's public data/members.json and visible to anyone.

How we use your email

Your email is used for exactly two things:

• Sending one-time login codes (OTP) when you request to edit your entry.
• Occasional club announcements, if you opt in at signup.

We never sell, rent, or share your email with advertisers.

Third parties

• Cloudflare hosts the Worker and KV storage.
• Resend delivers OTP emails on our behalf (required to actually send the email to you).
• GitHub hosts the public site and member data.
• Letterboxd is the source of your public film data; we only read data you've already made public there.

Retention

We keep your email as long as your membership is active. One-time codes expire after 10 minutes and are discarded after use.

Your rights

You can request deletion of your membership and email at any time by emailing privacy@jxnfilm.club. We'll remove your entry from the public members list and delete your email from KV storage within 7 days.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top and post a notice on jxnfilm.club.
